Mutual Service for Electrical Maintenance

Haugland Energy Group (HEG) has been been contracted for over three years for a Service Agreement with RENU, who utilizes HEG to respond to emergent events within local schools, often caused by flooding (from storms or mechanical failures) and requiring entire electrical system and service replacements; in addition, more routine work has included switchgear replacement and testing (102/208V–277/480V), primary cable testing and replacement/splicing (13.2kV), panel installation/replacement, and receptacle and lighting installations. For instance, Jericho High School was severely flooded, requiring a full temporary switchgear lineup that restored the school in less than 7 days followed by a permanent replacement; Bay Shore School District called HEG in the middle of the night due to a primary conductor failure, and we directly bored new conduits redundant to the existing system, installed new cables and terminations, and re-fed the school before students arrived in the morning. In another instance Three Village School District’s Nassakage Elementary School, had a storm bring approximately 145,000 gallons of water into the building, severely damaging the boiler and electrical systems, prompting HEG to respond immediately and work around the clock for two weeks in August to ensure the school opened on time.
