Grace Industries (Grace) was contracted by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to perform critical airfield rehabilitation work at John F. Kennedy International Airport, one of the busiest and most operationally complex airports in the United States.
Grace executed a comprehensive scope of work, including precision milling, pavement replacement, grading, and paving within active runway and taxiway environments. The team coordinated closely with the Port Authority, air traffic control, and key airport stakeholders to safely and efficiently complete work within narrow construction windows, including overnight and off-peak closures.
Utilizing advanced 3D milling and paving technologies, Grace achieved tight tolerances and precise pavement elevations across expansive taxiways and runway surfaces. The majority of the work was self-performed, leveraging Grace’s highly trained union workforce with extensive experience in aviation construction.
