Billy Haugland II is Chief Executive Officer of Haugland Group LLC, a Long Island, New York-based infrastructure services company with subsidiaries that provide a wide range of civil infrastructure and energy construction services. With a passion for transportation infrastructure ignited at a young age, Billy took a role within his family-owned construction business, working in the field with project management teams.
Billy’s immersive approach to leadership has driven him through a variety of roles across the company’s subsidiaries, allowing him to deeply understand every aspect of the business. As CEO, he leads Haugland Group’s diverse portfolio, including Grace Industries LLC, Haugland Energy LLC, overseeing their expansion and success across the Southeast, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic regions. Billy’s leadership also includes a focus on expanding Haugland Group’s maritime services. Through Haugland Marine Service, which offers critical support to the construction community with material handling, logistics, and recycling services at facilities such as the Inwood Material Terminal (IMT) and Tomkins Cove, ensuring efficient and effective solutions for land and offshore projects.
As a champion of innovation, Billy continuously pushes the boundaries of efficiency in construction and energy, while also being deeply passionate about workforce development. He believes in the importance of supporting local communities and is actively working to create opportunities and promote the growth of skilled labor in the regions Haugland Group serves. Billy extends this commitment by fostering advancement, excellence, and collaboration in the place he calls home – New York.
Rooted in Long Island, Billy’s impact extends beyond business as he holds numerous board positions, including with the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the Long Island Contractors’ Association (LICA), New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV), and the Long Island Association (LIA). He is also an active member of the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society and the American Red Cross Long Island Chapter. A graduate of the Energeia Partnership’s Class of 2021, Billy Haugland II continues to inspire and drive positive changes, both in his industry and his community.
