I got my union start late in life; I was 43 years old when I started my first-year apprenticeship. I always knew I wanted to be an electrician, but never stayed with one company long enough. With the help of IBEW Local 25, they introduced me to many opportunities and then I arrived at Haugland Group.

Since working at Haugland I have been able to branch out into multiple areas of energy, that I have not had the chance to explore prior. I have recently worked a lot in substations, telecommunications and as an outside lineman.

For any electricians, I would highly recommend Haugland Energy as a place to work. Working here each day comes with a new challenge. One day I am working on a substation, the next I am out East working on a solar job. My advice to the younger generation would be to listen more and talk less.
