Chris Giamo serves as Vice Chairman of Haugland Group, where he plays a critical role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and fostering organizational growth. With extensive expertise in strategic planning and capital management, Chris is instrumental in aligning the company’s long-term objectives with market opportunities and operational excellence.
In his leadership capacity, Chris works with the Haugland family to drive organizational development initiatives, ensuring that Haugland Group remains agile and competitive in a progressively evolving industry. His responsibilities extend to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, evaluation, negotiation, and integration of potential business partnerships and acquisitions, contributing to the firm’s growth and diversification.
Before joining Haugland as Vice Chairman, Chris Giamo was a pivotal member of TD Bank’s Executive Management Committee, where he led the Commercial Banking division across the United States. In this capacity, he oversaw an expansive portfolio of business segments, including Small Business, Middle Market, and specialized areas such as Commercial Real Estate, Institutional Healthcare, Higher Education, Not-for-Profit, Government Banking, Asset-Based Lending, Equipment Finance, SBA Lending, Restaurant and Franchise Finance, and Regional Healthcare Practice Finance.
During his tenure at TD Bank, Chris spearheaded the development and implementation of treasury management products and services while driving internal technology innovation programs. These initiatives ensured that TD Bank consistently delivered seamless, forward-thinking solutions to clients and colleagues, reinforcing its position as a leader in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Committed to fostering inclusivity, Chris served as the Executive Sponsor of TD Bank’s Individuals with Diverse Abilities initiative, championing accessibility and equity within the organization. Beyond his professional endeavors, he contributed significantly to community and healthcare development as a Board Member of Huntington Hospital (Northwell Health) and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Finance from the University of Rhode Island.
