An attorney with over 20 years of experience in employment and construction law, Becky Tung is a born and bred New Yorker. A proud first-generation Asian American, Becky has lived in Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island. Through a strong work ethic and exposure to a variety of urban settings, Becky’s ambition brought her to NYU where she graduated with a B.A. in Metropolitan Studies.

At Hofstra Law School, Becky was President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Her employment discrimination class led her to her first post-graduate job as a litigator at Leeds Morelli & Brown, P.C., a boutique labor and employment firm where she developed her niche in employment and corporate law.

Becky went on to join WDF Inc., where she was promoted to General Counsel within her first 3 months. She was also General Counsel for WDF’s affiliated companies. Over the course of 13 years, she built WDF’s legal department and compliance program and helped guide the company through an acquisition by Tutor Perini Corp., a publicly traded construction company.

As Vice President of Legal and Compliance for Haugland Group and its affiliates, Becky is responsible for the breadth of the companies’ legal and compliance requirements across both the private and public sectors. Haugland Group is a family-owned company that prides itself on keeping Long Island a thriving place to live and work, providing workforce development opportunities, and extending opportunities to small local businesses.

Deeply committed to her community, Becky currently serves on the Board of Directors of EAC Network and Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW), organizations that share her goal of helping people in need, hyper-locally in New York City and on Long Island. As an Energeia Partner (Class of 2024), Becky has found both inspiration and a network, aligning her professional expertise with her dedication to improving life for all Long Islanders. She also serves on the General Contractors Association of New York’s Law and Legislation Committee. Becky works in Melville and lives on Long Island with her husband and two daughters.
