Haugland Group, a family owned and operated Long Island, New York based electrical and heavy civil construction company has an immediate opportunity for an Human Resources Intern to join our team this summer.

Key Functions

• Various administrative tasks and support HR department’s daily activities
• Organize and set up interviews
• Assist in new hire electronic onboarding process
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee training with our safety team
• Help in organizing company events, corporate activities, and career fairs
• Update company databases with employee information
• Assist in reviewing HR policies

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Strong Work ethic
• Highly organized
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver results while time managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Working towards a degree in Business Management, HR or a related field

This is a paid internship. Wage is $18 per hour
