Port Authority Awards Contract To Build And Operate Construction Support Facility At JFK International Airport To Reduce Construction Impact On Local Community
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced today that a contractor has been selected to build and operate an on-airport construction support facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This facility will dramatically reduce the impact of airport construction on neighboring communities by eliminating the need for thousands of truck trips through local streets, with substantial participation by minority- and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBE) and local business enterprises (LBE) through its subcontracts in the delivery of JFK construction.
