Bringing more than 30 years of distinguished experience in economic and workforce development across New York, Rosalie Drago is a recognized leader in fostering equitable and inclusive growth. Her career has been dedicated to building sustainable economic foundations and promoting quality employment through a place-based, industry-driven approach that strengthens communities and drives regional prosperity.

At Haugland Group, Rosalie focuses on External Affairs and Strategic Engagement, overseeing Marketing & Communications, Government & Community Affairs, Workforce & Supplier Development as well as Memberships, Events and Sponsorships.

Prior to joining the Haugland Group, Rosalie served as the first female Commissioner of Labor in Suffolk County, NY, highlighting her commitment to breaking down barriers to employment for the county’s 1.5 million residents. Under her leadership, the department focused on creating a diverse talent pipeline, supporting local businesses and unions, and ensuring a fair and safe working environment for Suffolk’s 15,000 licensed businesses.

Before her tenure in Suffolk County, Rosalie served as the Long Island Regional Director for the Workforce Development Institute, a statewide nonprofit organization. In this role, she partnered with employers, labor unions, lawmakers, and educators to build a more skilled workforce and strengthen Long Island’s communities.

Rosalie’s career began in New York City, where she made significant contributions to Brooklyn’s economic landscape. As COO and VP of Marketing and Membership at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, she supported 1,500 member businesses. She also played a pivotal role in neighborhood development as a Neighborhood Economic Development Specialist and was instrumental in authoring Brooklyn’s first tourism plan as a Tourism Consultant for the then Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz.

She is dedicated to fostering partnerships that create mutual prosperity at the intersection of growth for businesses, unions, communities and the residents of New York.
