Niel L. Poulsen is a seasoned global executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience in the construction materials and infrastructure industries. As a member of Haugland Group’s Board of Directors, he provides strategic guidance to the organization and oversees the company’s operations in the Virgin Islands.
Originally from Australia, Mr. Poulsen has built a distinguished career leading large-scale operations across aggregates, ready-mixed concrete, and asphalt businesses. He brings deep expertise in operational leadership, business transformation, and full P&L management, with a strong track record of driving performance and growth across complex, multinational organizations.
Prior to joining Haugland Group, Mr. Poulsen held senior leadership roles with U.S. Concrete, Inc. (now part of Vulcan Materials), where he served as Executive Vice President of the Southeast Division. He also held leadership positions with Aggregate Industries (Holcim), Cemex, and Edw. C. Levy Co., managing operations across the United States as well as earlier in his career across Australasia and the Middle East.
Mr. Poulsen is widely recognized for his ability to strengthen operations, integrate acquisitions, and build high-performing teams. His leadership approach emphasizes safety, efficiency, and long-term value creation, aligning closely with Haugland Group’s commitment to operational excellence across its infrastructure platforms.
