MWDBE Program Coordinator

Haugland Group has an immediate need for a full-time MWDBE Program Coordinator to build, oversee, and enforce MWDBE Section 3, and OFCCP Programs.
Key Functions
  • Liaise with customers, subcontractors, and vendors regarding MWDBE, Section 3, and OFCCP related issues, including drafting requests for waivers and responding to concerns
  • Coordinate with the estimating department and project management pre/post bid to track and ensure compliance with good faith effort requirements before and during life of each project
  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly reports to public and private customers, including, but not limited to, the Port Authority of NY and NJ, PSEGLI, Town of Babylon, Suffolk County Department of Public Works, NYS Transit Authority, NYS Department of Transportation
  • Prepare MWDBE Vetting Reports, including research and conducting site visits
  • Review contracts pre and post bid for MWDBE, Section 3, and OFCCP requirements and provide comments to same
  • Analyze whether MWDBEs are providing a commercially useful function
  • Create and maintain databases of records of all MWDBE, Section 3, and OFCCP
  • Train and educate employees in MWDBE, Section 3, and OFCCP requirements, and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Represent the Haugland entities at industry events
Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working with MWDBE, Section 3, and OFCCP rules and regulations
  • High School diploma or GED is required, Bachelor’s Degree or some college preferred
  • Superb verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work and manage multiple proposals/projects simultaneously, working in a fast-paced environment, while prioritizing responsibilities and balancing workload to meet deadlines
  • Participate productively as a contributing member in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
