IT Level 1 Help Desk Associate

Haugland Group, a Melville, NY based infrastructure construction firm has an immediate need for a full-time IT Help Desk Associate

Haugland Group is an infrastructure services holding company with subsidiaries and affiliates that have been providing a wide range of services for energy and civil infrastructure projects since 1999. The organization is looking for an Information Technologies Level 1 Help Desk associate to assist with the following:

Key Functions
  • Serve as the first line of support for internal users
  • Maintain daily tickets to ensure the highest service levels are maintained
  • Manage IT support requests or escalate problems to IT Management when necessary
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document hardware and software issues as they arise
  • Configure and maintain hardware, including computer systems, phone systems, printers, and network devices
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users with hardware and software use
  • Assist IT team with ongoing projects
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows based computer systems
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and their function relative to the overall operation of the equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications recommended
