What is the difference between EAP and my Health Insurance?
EAP is not a form of medical insurance. There are no co-pays or deductibles. EAP services are a benefit paid by Haugland Group to support you with personal and job-related issues. When you use the services, you may be asked about your health insurance provider to assist in recommending the most appropriate care option for your needs.
Who will know that I have used the EAP?
Mutual of Omaha’s EAP adheres to strict ethical and legal guidelines to keep all interactions confidential. If your employer has referred you to the EAP for work-related concerns, you may be asked to sign a release of information form. This will be explained during your initial call.
Who can use the EAP? And how often can it be used?
You, your immediate dependents (includes spouse, domestic partner and unmarried children under 26) are eligible. Haugland Group covers 3 sessions per year, per household. Once all sessions have been used, you can pursue continued care by utilizing your regular health insurance or paying out-of-pocket costs with a plan tailored to your needs.
