Executive Vice President
Jeff Hila is an experienced engineering and construction executive with more than 30 years of proven leadership and project management in the electrical utility and construction industries. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of Haugland Energy (HE), an affiliate of the Haugland Group (HG) in Plainview, New York.
Mr. Hila was appointed to his position in 2017 and is responsible for steering the development of HE projects and staff, enhancing corporate process and procedure, and ensuring the successful engagement and growth of the organization's customer base.
Prior to his role with HG, Mr. Hila advanced through several positions of increasing corporate responsibility through his decades at PSEG, and was most recently the Senior Director of Engineering and Construction of the Delivery Projects and Construction (DP&C) Organization overseeing all aspects of transmission, engineering and construction. In this position, he co-managed the engineering, construction and financial aspects of transmission work totaling $2.2 billion annually, and the development of a 69kV program. Mr. Hila began his career in 1986 as a lineman, and has kept grounded in his roots through every aspect of his career, which includes outside/inside plant construction, engineering and commissioning, outage and work planning, and vegetation management. He has an extensive background managing storm restoration efforts, including leading all mutual assistance contractors following the weather event.
Furthering the development of his management and leadership methods, Mr. Hila has completed numerous trainings, including the prestigious Utility Executive Course at the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics, focusing on the fundamentals, leadership functions, trends and future of the utility industry.
Mr. Hila resides in Holmdel Township, NJ and has three college-aged children. He is an avid sportsman, enjoying golf, scuba diving and skiing.
